Delete your McNut Budgeting account or data

You can request deletion without signing in to McNut Budgeting or reinstalling the Android app.

Enter the Google email address you use for McNut in the form below and choose account deletion or selected data deletion. Complete the security check, then enter the code sent to your email to submit your request.

For selected data only, describe the records you want removed. Your account will stay open. Do not include passwords, bank credentials or copies of financial records in your request. If you cannot access your sign-in email, use the contact page to ask about an alternative ownership check.

Requests are reviewed manually. We verify account ownership before removing data and reply by email when the request is complete. Sending a request does not immediately delete your account.

What account deletion removes

Your McNut account profile (name, email, Google account identifier and profile image reference), transactions and imports, categories, bills and recurring payments, savings goals and set-asides, transfers, money-owed records, saved preferences, notification subscriptions and any saved bank connection details are included in a full account deletion request. This does not delete your Google account or records held by your bank.

Timing and retention

Verification codes expire after 30 minutes. Pending request details are removed when they expire; cleanup runs every five minutes. Once a verified request is forwarded to our team, its email address and request text are cleared from the request service. Your budget records remain stored until your request is verified and processed manually. No additional retention period is applied to active account records after deletion. Request and confirmation emails remain in the support mailbox as a record of the request; you can also request deletion of that correspondence.

Before you request deletion

Download any records you want to keep using Settings → Data → Export transactions (CSV). Deletion cannot be undone. To use McNut again after deletion, you will need to create a new budget.
